The Light Garden · Alien forests & weatherArtist’s imagined scene

The planet’s catalog irradiation is 0.75 (+0.032 / −0.302) times Earth’s, with the asymmetric uncertainty retained as supplied. That describes incoming stellar energy at the planet. It does not tell us how much a hypothetical cloud layer reflects, where rain falls or whether liquid water can persist [1, 2]. This ridge belongs to an invented atmospheric circulation. Vapor condenses in the rising air, and the landscape disappears beneath deep cloud. Lattice colonies extend fine filaments into the mist; droplets merge and descend into protected cups. Their architecture places a biological water collector within a much larger meteorological system. The segmented animals beneath the lattice shelter from exposure and eat discarded organic matter. Their waste supplies soluble nutrients to the colony’s wet base. The relationship is a fictional partnership, not a claim that familiar terrestrial taxonomic groups have evolved on another planet. Cloud towers, water droplets and their silver illumination give the viewer something observable within the invented scene. None is observed on Kepler-1649 c. An atmosphere’s composition, pressure and circulation would be needed to test this weather, and this book supplies no climate simulation. The sky remains an assumption with consequences. 01 / Interpretation

The imagined scene

The host system is real. All alien organisms, robots, societies and social histories are fictional. Moons, rings, terrain and weather are artistic assumptions unless specifically supported by a cited source. These images are not calibrated simulations of the sky.

02 / Evidence

The scientific anchor

Kepler-1649 c is a transiting planet around Kepler-1649. Its saved catalog radius is 1.06 (+0.15 / −0.10) Earth radii and its period is 19.53527 ± 0.00010 days [Vanderburg et al. 2020]. This scene explores climate requires an atmosphere. Condensing lattices collect atmospheric water; sheltered detritivores return soluble nutrients to the colony. All illustrated biology is fictional.

NASA composite catalog values may combine different papers. Errors and upper/lower limits are retained. “Calculated Value” means derived or estimated. Msini is a minimum mass. Missing values are unknown. A multiple-star system’s single stellar row does not describe every component. Equilibrium temperature is not a measured surface temperature.

What about life?

Passes a deliberately broad 0.25–1.75 Earth-flux triage window. This is not a calculated habitable zone or evidence of water or life. Atmosphere, surface pressure, water inventory, stellar activity and orbital history remain unassessed. No confirmed life; no planet-specific biosignature literature review in this release.
